The one city in Texas that might have the most varied car culture is our capitol. I was there this past weekend for RTX, and I saw the most varied group of Classics, Euro, Electric, and good old supercars than I have anywhere else. And it seemed that everyone respected and really enjoyed everyone else's car. I can't wait to move there later this summer, and adding the ol' S2000 into the mix.

I've lived in Texas for all but 3 1/2 of my 26 years and I'd argue Austin has the best car scene in the state. I always see good stuff when we're in town.

Houston is great, but it doesn't have too much variety, you know?

Going to UT?

Good call.
Per capita, the town has a great scene. Surprisingly, I'd say that it has less exotics per person than Houston. Which is weird because of the money there.

I just always remember in HS when we'd have trips to Austin for state competitions and everybody would watch out the bus windows for whatever was going to go by.
In fact it was at Lake Travis about 12 years ago when I saw the only Aston Martin I've ever seen in person. What a beauty.

I'm from Austin. Used to take my EK and my Bimmer out to various meets around town.
Lots of stupid street racers though, especially on 183/Research BLVD.

Houston has more room for exotics I believe though

I'll be sure to avoid that then

Aston Martins are just the most beautiful things, aren't they?

Just avoid it on Saturday nights, and you're probably fine.

Bienvenidos y stuff.
I hear there's an awesome Lancer with a chicken on it somewhere around town. I mean, like, a chicken.

Yes, but with such concentrations on wealth in areas like Westlake, Lakeway, Terrytown, you'd expect more Italian Stallions or Raging Bulls. Very few.
Quite a few Porsches, though.
